Name poll for a Girl name

Well, I've decided to put a poll up here to get some feed back on a couple of names I seem to be stuck on if we have a girl. I was all for Leah for the longest time but then came across Rylan and thought, what a neat and unique name.
Rylan is a "male" name which is why I think I like it for a girl. I've always liked boy names for girls, obviously because of my own name, but I've always liked the name Taylor or Cameron for a girl too.
What do you all think? Vote for the name you like best and then if you can, in the comment section tell me why you like the name you picked.

Thanks for your help!

What name do you like best for a Girl?
Leah Ann
Rylan Ann

Jill,
Thanks for the vote. Never thought of the "lap dance" correlation, lol! Is RAP any better though?

To my dear brother,
As usual, your so much help! Just kidden. But in the "off" chance that "maybe" you're wrong (I know hard to beleive!) what name do you like best for a *gasp* girl?

Rylan just doesn't roll off the tongue for me, so I voted for Leah.

Like CP, I voted for Leah as well for the same reason, and guess what, your back to square one ... it's a tie! ... LOL

I chose Rylan bc I love unique names and I think it is really cute. How come girl names are so hard to come up with. I have a son and we picked his name right away and I am due w/ our second in Sept as well. We just found out on Tues it is a girl and my husband and I can't agree on a girl's name to save our life......

Thank you all for your input!

CP - I can see how it might take some getting use too saying. I thought the same thing at first, but the more I said it, the more it grew on me.

AB - Admit it! You just voted for Leah so we WOULD be back to square one, huh!? Just kidden. ;) Thanks for your input. Glad to see you back...hope things are going better!

Beth - I should have known better then to ask him in the first place, huh? ;) Now watch though, it will turn out to be a boy and we'll never hear the end of it, will we?! I like Stylin' Rylan, cute!

Anon - Congratualtion on the baby girl. We have our "big" ultrasound Wed. 26th, but we won't be finding out the sex. I know exactly what you mean about girl names, they are soooo hard! We must have gone through about a dozen before we finally ended with these two and of course we can't seem to come to any agreement on them!

I just noticed something here. Every women who voted has picked Rylan and every guy that has voted has picked Leah. Hmmmmmm....interesting.

And I'm another woman who voted for Rylan. I like both names equally but my reasoning is this: It sounds better with the middle name of "Ann." "Rylan Ann" has a real rhythm to it. "Leah" sort of needs a two-syllable middle name. Such as "Leah Marie." I also like the middle name "Ann." Why wouldn't I? It's my own. :)

And it is true that most people will either shorten it to Lee, or they will call her "Lee-ann."

I am a woman and I voted for Leah. I agree with CP and AB; it rolls off the tongue. Blame it on AB, he sent me over here.

Hi Corie! Well, I'm gonna have to keep going with the "guys choose Leah" theme. I think it's a really pretty name. Plus, Rylan sounds too much like a warrior from Lord of the Rings or something =)

Gayle - Thanks for the vote! I to wonder if people would just call her Lee for short...I wouldn't like that.
Ann is a middle name that kinda runs in my family, at least it's mine and my mom's middle name and I wanted to continue that.

jgf - That darn AB! :) Thanks for your opinion!

AB - Of course you would NEVER think of doing such a thing! Yeah, right! :)

Tom - Is this the Tom from Stepping out in Faith? If it is....you've got some explaining to do! Where the heck did you go?!
Anyway, back to the topic. It sounds like a warrior name? Really? That sounds like something the hubby would say, lol! Thanks for the input!

Auntie M - I knew you would still like Leah. :) I was wondering when someone would bring up Ryland Homes. I must admit, it was the first thing I thought of too when I heard the name, lol.

Never met a Leah I liked, so I voted for Rylan and it's original. Good luck!

I like the name Rylan, but not with the middle name "ann". A name doesn't really flow when you end the first and middle with the same sound. (at least that's what I think)
Good luck!

You know what? It really doesn't matter which name you choose, as long as you remember to name her! :)

I like Leah Ann. Funny thing - Rebekah's middle name is Lee and mine is Ann. So maybe that's why I like it :)
