Today I am 18 weeks and 5 days
Well....the baby seems to be movin' and groovin' quite a bit lately. So far this little bean seems to really like orange juice, strawberry yogurt, Lemonade, & Chipotle. I can pretty much get this little one moving any time I eat or drink any of the above.....it's pretty funny! It's not quite strong enough for John to feel it move, but it really should be just a matter of time I would think. I also think I'm starting to look a little more pregnant and not just fat, lol!
Now that my baby shower has been scheduled for June, I think it would probably be a good time to register at Babies R Us. :) I have my list made but every time I think about going in to register I get this huge overwhelming feeling because outside of the big and basic things there are so many little things to think about. Like, how many blankets do we need? How many sheets, bottles, bibs, burp clothes do we need? Should we register for a swing or a bouncer? Or both? What's the best stroller to buy? It's crazy! I'm gonna have to bit the bullet soon though and just go and do it.

Hey Corie, it is overwhelming trying to think if you've gotten "everything" you need. I don't think anyone ever does. There will be frantic 3 am trips to the all night store for something.
By the second kid you're trying to figure out what you can get by without or multitask with, because you had so much with the first one.
Glad all is going well, If the little one likes chipolte then try some wasabe or horseradish, that should really get him moving :)
Babies R Us makes it easy...when you go in to register they give you a list of everything you're likely to need. It even tells you how many (minimum) that you should register for.

Oh I'm very sure we'll be making late night runs to somewhere at some point! :) Well, maybe I should say John (not me) will be making these trips, lol!
I don't think any parent is as overwhelmed with their second as they are their first...at least I hope not!

I have seen the list online, but sometimes I wonder if one really needs as much as they say. Know what I mean?
I do really like how they have comments online from parents that have bought certain items and how well they liked or disliked the product. That's a huge benifit when you have like 50 choices of anything from strollers to swings. It's helped tremendously!
Corie, the "lighter fare" post for friday is up on my blog. You were right, the first one was a little depressing.
